Palm eBook Reader - $150

Schiel & Denver's eBook publishing service is available for both our authors and external authors who would like to distribute their work in the format, under Schiel & Denver's author agreement. (The service costs $245 for external authors)

Your eBook will be available to purchase through a global network of over 25,000+ online stores and eBook sales portals, including popular U.S. eBook stores like Diesel eBooks which receive thousands of traffic hits each month.

The proven benefits of electronic books or eBooks are now widely acknowledged, not least because they can provide a valuable new income stream, being downloaded and read by people in a matter of minutes, as portable documents. You profit with 50% author royalties on each eBook downloaded and sold.

Benefits of Palm Reader Format

Palm Reader is an award winning application used to read Palm Digital Media eBooks on your Palm OS handheld.

  • Allows readers to add your own bookmarks and notes to your books.

  • Allows you to search the book contents.

  • Supports styled text, chapters, hyperlinks, and pictures in Palm Reader eBooks.

  • Can be used with small or large fonts.

  • Able to read most Palm DOC format eBooks.

The Compelling Benefits of eBook Format
  • Electronic Books (eBooks) promote reading and enable all readers to download the book they want at a moment's notice  - without having to wait for Amazon to deliver or physically finding time to go to Barnes & Noble bookstores.
  • With their reduced storage requirements, eBooks allow readers to have an entire library of books, accessible at the touch of a button on their laptop or palm reader; and industry research has shown this improves the sale of paperback and hardback editions of the same work.
  • eBooks also preserve trees and eliminate all the industry manufacturing and transportation costs that are part and parcel of the traditional publishing trade for paperbacks and hardbacks.
You determine your eBook's Digital Rights Management (DRM) status

Schiel & Denver gives you the choice of whether to apply Digital Rights Management (DRM) to your eBook, offering you the option. We do this because some authors strongly favor DRM for copyright protection, whilst others feel it treats their readers like criminals. Therefore, at S&D, we strike an even-handed and fair balance by devolving the option to you.

After you purchase the service, we'll ask you to specifically designate where you are authorizing Schiel & Denver to distribute your book by selecting at least one market. By your selection, you are indicating both that you have the right to sell the book in each selected market and that you are authorizing Schiel & Denver to distribute it in that market on your behalf.

Read Only

The eBook can only be read (not printed, copied, etc).

Read Aloud

This feature allows the reader to highlight some or all of the text in an eBook, and for that highlighted text to be played audibly using relevant software (i.e. Adobe Reader) It is important to note that because the Text-to-Speech feature may violate some audio-rights agreements, external authors should carefully examine their contracts before enabling this feature.

Printing

We allow you to specify both the number of pages and time interval (in days) for which pages of your eBook can be printed. The specified number of pages can only be printed for the specified number of days. After the identified number of days, the consumer will then be able to print another specified number of pages during the next time interval.
