While customizing layouts and typesetting, particularly for multilingual artworks and DTP (Desktop publishing), can be complex and time-consuming tasks even for professionals, our skilled team can produce digital blueprints for your approval within a short space of time.

Expert Typesetting Capabilities

Our preferred typesetting system is 3B2, however, our designers are also comfortable working with LaTeX for academic books, and at any stage of the production process we can provide the latest version of your text in any file format you specify - i.e. PDF, RTF, WORD, Indesign or Quark.

Schiel & Denver operates a full in-house design facility, working with all commercial design and artworking packages, as well as illustration applications across Macintosh and PC platforms. All our operatives are trained artworkers or designers – each understands the rules of typography for both print and online media.

Professional Fontography

With an extensive library of over 10,000 fonts, our authors can be assured that we have the right fonts for your book, and our designers are experienced in professional font software including Extensis Suitcase. We can also have fonts designed for you, if required, to provide a completely customized product tailored to your individual needs.

Detailed job progress reports are available at any given time during the production process, either online through the author center or by phone/email.
